Clarity Building Controls has a Project Funding service that is committed to making it easier and more rewarding to proceed with IoT projects. The Clarity Funding Model allows the building owner to create a retrofit project with no upfront capital investment by funding the project with a combination of grants and lease or term financing. Our grant and financing experts source all grants, leases or loans for energy, water and IoT retrofit projects.
We provide this service as an alternative means to the Energy As a Service model (EaaS) which offers significantly less advantages to the building owner since they forgo the full benefits related to cost savings, grants, ownership of equipment and tax write offs.
Clarity prepares & submits the necessary documents to the relevant institutions at a reasonable commission that is based on "success only". We only get paid if we are successful.
EaaS is a shared savings model, that can be used to finance energy efficiency projects, and allows building owners to benefit from immediate positive cash flow on day one of the project. In this model, an energy services company will pay for example a lighting project on behalf of the customer, calculate the total monthly savings generated from the project, and bill the customer a percentage of savings. Building owners benefit from not having to pay upfront for the lighting project and enjoy the benefits of the energy savings long term.
